Mindful Mobility
Rebecca Smith
Meet Rebecca
I believe movement can be accessible to anyone
...no matter their circumstances. I am passionate about bringing ease of movement into the hands of regular people: anyone from athletes, to those working a desk job, to those wanting to thrive in retirement! Studies have shown that exercise and nutrition are more beneficial regarding Type 2 diabetes, cardiac issues and Alzheimer’s Disease than any available drug...
Come learn how your body was designed to move; and how that movement truly is medicine!

My Background
I worked for several gyms in the early 2000’s teaching BodyPump, Spinning, Step Aerobics, etc. When I first started, it was all "go, go, go!!! Harder, stronger, more powerful!" My body could take it, so I dished it out!!!
I discovered Pilates in 2003 and started teaching equipment Pilates in 2005. It began to fine-tune my movement and change the way I taught. I still taught the hard things, but my skills and methodology grew considerably!
In the mid-2010's, I discovered the work of Eric Franklin. To say Eric completely changed the way I saw fitness and strength is not an exaggeration...

Mindful Mobility and The Franklin Method
The Franklin Method was the first training I had that viewed anatomy in movement, as opposed to anatomy in rigidity. If the human body moves, why were we—movement professionals—never taught how?
Eric Franklin's teaching showed me that when the brain knows how the body moves, the body can move mindfully. The natural results are unrestricted movement, joint and muscle flexibility, effortless posture, and a more tranquil headspace.

Rather than focusing on a specific set of exercises, The Franklin Method comes alongside any movement modality and teaches how your body moves through it!

15 years into teaching movement, I finally learned the secret: when your brain joins the conversation, everything changes.
Now, movement is fun and I want to make it the same for you!
